Player Notes Pros

  • Versatility to win as 3-4 OLB in run game, rushing the passer & dropping into coverage

  • Illustrates good rush variety when getting after the passer, Does well to anticipate snap

  • Outstanding footwork when rushing the passer to force offensive tackles out of their set

  • Ability to flatten & get around the outside hip of the tackle, plenty of inside rush moves

  • Good flexibility in his torso & upper body to diminish surface area & slip through gaps

  • Dip n' rip is his best rush move, smooth movement skills when dropping into coverage

  • Does a great job reading the backfield in zone drops & working into throwing lanes

  • Plays with outstanding effort in pursuit & when working to clear contact

  • He's got both agility & twitch, who produces a good initial up field burst off the line

  • Natural sense of what counters, fits & stab is necessary to offset blockers in space

  • Flashed a nasty cross chop, long armed his way to soft angles, nice inside spin move

  • Most effective off the edge in a crash/penetration role to zip off the backside of plays

  • Better tackle radius than you'd expect for his length, sufficient in extending his frame

  • Aided by good lateral hip mobility to open himself in a scrape & flow role off the ball

  • Dispatched outside the hashes as point man over the slot & dropped into flat & spy role

Player Notes Cons

  • Game over when he doesn’t win with first contact & offensive linemen get hands on him

  • Has shown some instances of losing the football against mis-direction & RPO's

  • Took some questionable angles & got reached on the edge when he has outside leverage

  • As an odd front OLB he may have issues on the edge against longer tackles

  • Broke his left foot in both 2017 & 2018 seasons which is certainly concerning
