Player Notes Pros

  • Competitive runner with a compact frame who can be both elusive & physical

  • Another former star from the junior college ranks that has made his way to Oxford

  • Ultra-productive as a freshman (honorable mention All-American with 1,212 yards)

  • Also as sophomore (All-Region with 1,070 yards, 13 TDs) at Jones County Junior College

  • Instinctive runner in space, can stack moves & burst laterally to circumvent tacklers

  • He's an experienced zone runner who can get to challenging cutback lanes effectively

  • Appears to be more comfortable as an outside runner than between the tackles at times

  • Should challenge for a spot as a RB2, may need to prove he can handle special teams

  • Has both the athleticism & agility to elude early pressure & penetration into backfield

  • Electric feet make sudden, effective jump cuts, talent enticing 2nd level missed tackles

  • Loose hips for sharp cuts across the grain to access creases on the backside of field

  • Great acceleration after cuts & around corner, very rarely comes to a halt as a runner

  • Good quality effective stiff arm, runs behind his pads & finishes with tenacity

  • Very good ball security with soft hands & efficient in pass protection situations

Player Notes Cons

  • Somewhat average as an interior runner, often confuses impatience with decisiveness

  • Needs to improve at setting up as a blocker going against larger opposing linebackers

  • Can also be too eager to bounce runs wide rather than taking the hard yards up the gut

  • Honestly looked a step slower in 2019 than he did in 2018, which stats confirm

  • Used infrequently as pass catcher due to being very inconsistent in pass protection

  • Lacks special teams experience in college which will make being drafted a challenge
