Player Notes Pros

  • Cersatility gives him experience at a multitude of positions, throughout college

  • Experienced reps at defensive tackle and defensive end from the stand up positions

  • Comfortable in coverage when asked to zone drop into the flat areas along the boundary

  • Lengthy arms & long frame that allow him to extend well beyond his body

  • Frequently capable of using his far arm to set a firm edge with violent strikes

  • Consistently disruptive when he’s able to keep blockers free of his frame

  • Reach & pop allow him to play off of contact in short spaces & provide quick disengage

  • His length is easily his best quality & allows him to squat, press and extend

  • Definitely has functional strength, grip strength & wingspan to be problematic up front

  • He's better in tight quarters to stay squatted & protect himself from double teams

  • Got some pretty potent spring in him when he can get his weight distribution right

  • Projected role as a 3-4 DE to occupy the B-gap & two-gap against offensive guards

  • Serving as a two-gap defender is the best way to make the most of his strength & size

Player Notes Cons

  • Still figuring out how to exactly use his arms/hands effectively on consistent basis

  • Natural instinct to only attack the mid-line & strictly bull rush blockers

  • Needs to diversify repertoire of moves from stand up position & along the interior

  • Lack of moves is a factor that could come over time as he settles into a distinct position

  • Struggles to drop his center of gravity, dip his hips, & immediately flatten to the QB

  • Needs to work on steps necessary in order to perform each series of this sequence

  • Many believe flawed rush technique for his move to the interior of the field
