Player Notes Pros

  • Versatility means he's been trusted with a number of different defensive roles

  • He's got an effective tackle radius and compliments his reach with good lateral mobility

  • When he's up into gaps, he'll push through contact effectively to persist to the football

  • That said, he's got some pretty incredible pop when he does flash his hands

  • He's got a hot motor and he'll play through backside trash to find the ball

  • His functional strength is exceptional for an off ball LB, great contact balance

  • Short area agility & burst to slant & crash the gaps is fantastic & he's quick

  • Shown ability to unlock his hips & get width against outside runs and keep contain

  • He can stay on the field on 3rd downs as a pressure player who can be moved around

  • Great ability attacking down blocks & getting upfield quickly, 1st step quickness is nice

  • Change of direction skills are very effective to dart across the face of blockers

  • Pretty fluid in terms of his base, ability to get steep angles for high speed redirections

  • Like how he's able to spring into hip to hip positioning quickly on predesignated reps

  • He'll have success working to the mesh point & accelerating through the play

Player Notes Cons

  • Fairly green to high level of competition, has plenty of room for growth & consistency

  • Not sure he's got the juice to consistently take the edge against blockers

  • There are some wasted steps and movements that hinder his movement economy

  • Doesn't see it quite as quickly from an off ball role just yet, but hes developing

  • Effective defender in the box, wouldn't consider him for more than shallow zones

  • He's still working through block deconstruction, times where the hands are late

  • On the LOS and you'll probably want a little more leverage and anchor out of him
