Player Notes Pros

  • Physically stout player, he's impressively build and looks like an NFL linebacker

  • He will drop you like a bad habit when he's able to run his feet on contact

  • His processing seems to be above average sniffing out gaps and finding opportunitie

  • Effort and motor runs hot, he's one you can count on to continue his pursuit backside

  • Despite being on the smaller side, Pinckney’s range, play speed & physicality is great

  • Excelling in space, Pinckney can be trusted to close down distances in a hurry

  • Can be trusted as a sound coverage linebacker in both man and zone coverage

  • If there is a window to close, Pinckney has rapid closing speed & attacks with urgency

  • If he can be kept clean, Pinckney makes impact plays & is a secure, reliable tackler

  • Effective in pursuit role over being tasked with stacking blocks & playing downhill

  • Play speed & processing skills are solid, has excellent processor as well

Player Notes Cons

  • Pinckney lacks the mass and functional strength to routinely stack and shed blocks

  • Smaller stature creates issues when tasked with playing into the line of scrimmage

  • He's pretty ineffective in space, in part because there are some agility restrictions

  • Poor angles taken in pursuit, he's effectively a dog chasing cars at times out there

  • Too visual & reactive without anticipation that is required to effectively frame blocks

  • Not impressive in zone coverage and doesn't show a feel for shading routes

  • Randomly picks a spot & attacks potential target without flowing to account for the ball
