Player Notes Pros

  • Very good reactive athlete for a man that size, incredible balance & flexibility

  • Schematic versatility & true positional flexibility to play in a multitude of spots

  • Plays single gap scheme as the “shade” or the “3” or as a “0” or a “5 Tech” in odd front

  • Displays excellent power in his hands, easily disengages, plays with excellent toughness

  • Holds the point of attack exceptionally well, is virtually unmovable with single blocks

  • Plays with good pad level & leverage, interior O-linemen rarely get vertical movement

  • He is a 3 down player with very good pass rush ability in passing situation

  • He has excellent get off for a big man and quickly gets out of his stance & upfield

  • Extremely disruptive in the pass game, generates production with excellent bull rush

  • Must be accounted for upfront, teams have to slide protection over to neutralize him

  • Blend of size, explosiveness, & power make him an absolute force on the interior

  • Brown should be the first DT off the board in April & an instant contributor in Year 1

Player Notes Cons

  • As a taller defender, needs to be more consistent at playing with good leverage

  • Instances nearly each game of not recognizing blocking schemes quickly enough

  • Can get consumed with rushing & often loses sight of the football with misdirection

  • Needs to be more consistent at using his hands effectively as a pass rusher
