Player Notes Pros

  • Excellent overall athleticism for the TE position, shows a willingness to block inline

  • Good football IQ & versatility, aligning both inline, at “Y”, at “H” & split out wide

  • Has good play strength & is heavy at the point of attack as a blocker in the run game

  • In the passing game he demonstrates strong releases off of the line of scrimmage

  • He also demonstrates some craftiness as a route runner against man coverage

  • He displays good physical toughness to catch the football when contact is imminent

  • Does a good job catching the football with his hands and not allowing it into his frame

  • Natural receiving skills. rarely dropping the football and routinely extending his arms

  • Can dig out low throws, makes good adjustments overall, true alpha at the catch point

  • Attacks the ball like a champ body control & concentration at catch point are terrific

  • Dominant after the catch, frequently breaking tackles & competes hard for every inch

  • Simply tough to bring down because of his competitive toughness, power and balance

  • Gives good effort as a blocker & he’s experienced working in-line & flexed as WR

  • Knows how to find space in zones and make himself available in the second level

Player Notes Cons

  • Off field issues, suspended three different times before being dismissed from the team

  • He’s a talented receiver but I’m not convinced he’s the most dynamic athlete

  • Must develop deception in routes because he lacks the juice to run away from defenders

  • Effort is sufficient as a blocker but he isn’t a consistent winner in that regard

  • Has to do a better job of fitting his hands & keeping his lower half engaged as blocker

  • Height, weight, & speed suggests he's an ideal fit at “Y”, however, he is a bit undersized

  • Demonstrates average run after the catch ability, just average catching the football

  • Undersized for the “Y” not athletic enough to be an “F”, needs to develop against man
