Player Notes Pros

  • Exceptional length & overwhelming power, devastating bull rusher off the edge

  • Hands are heavy & he does well to strategically place them & time his rush moves

  • Exceptional ability to convert speed to power & he often plays right through blockers

  • Plays with extension, length enables him to consistently finish outside his frame

  • Isn’t easily moved off his spot when setting the edge & he can make gaps disappear

  • Projects well as a stack/shed player against the run, has the frame to easily add weight

  • Versatility & flexibility, can play strong side DE in even front or a 2 gapping 5 tech

  • His inside rip is well timed & he'll steamroll through over setting O-lineman

  • Stout inline, if tasked with setting the edge vs the run he'll win with leverage & stack

  • Stacking up play side runs consistently leads to a collapsed & firm edge of the defense

  • In B-gaps gets quick penetration, instinctive to key on pullers & crash to mesh point

  • His anchor is super strong & only on a handful of occasions did he give ground at POA

  • Motor runs steady, second effort wins around the edge by looping back into plays

  • His finishing power to crash the pocket and get home to quarterbacks is quite strong

Player Notes Cons

  • Doesn't have ideal burst off the edge & guilty of popping up at times out of his stance

  • Needs to recognize reach/hook blocks more consistently to avoid giving up leverage

  • Must be  more intentional about keeping his pads low at the next level given his height

  • He lacks an array of pass rush moves and needs to do a better job of setting OTs

  • He won't offer any value to 3-4 schemed defenses who ask him to stand up on the edge
